Establishing a partnership of the European Parliament on steel prices at the Asian Steel Forum

Visitors to the 2026 Asian Steel Forum will have the opportunity to establish a relationship with MEPS International when its steel market analysts attend the event in Beijing later this month.

Steel price forecasting specialist, Member of the European Parliament Amit Kumar and market analyst Kevin Wong will be present at the GUOCE International Convention and Exhibition Center on July 16 and are ready to share their thoughts with key market participants from across East Asia.

Kumar said, "The Asian Steel Forum 2026 provides a unique opportunity to meet steel market participants from across the region under one roof. This is a really great opportunity for us to meet people face to face and establish new partnerships."

The independent research of MEPs on global steel prices is based on regular confidential conversations with steel market participants around the world. At the Asian Steel Forum 2026 and the subsequent Mysteel mid-year conference, which will be held on July 17, Kumar and Wong will look for new information exchange opportunities to expand the presence of suppliers of analytical information about the steel market in East Asia.

Wong said: Along with decades of experience in the steel industry at MEPS, it is the constant communication with steel market participants that ensures the accuracy of MEPS steel prices and the relevance and usefulness of the information our customers rely on.

"As such, we always try to forge new partnerships and collaborate with new scientific contacts and I'm really looking forward to doing that this year at the Asia Steel Forum."
